In the season 2020 - 2022, Naoki Sakata takes the position of the resident composer at The Nagoya Philharmonic Orchestra. During 3 years of the residence, he will release new works for every season.

Naoki Sakata is the part of the jury of The 31st Competition of Yasushi Akutagawa Suntory Award with Jo Kondo, Keiko Harada.

Naoki Sakata will write a new piece for 2 percussions and 2 pianos for the comission by the Makrokosmos Quartet.

Naoki Sakata is invited as resident composer in the Ensemble Ecoute at Paris.

At the session "PDSLAB # 7" with Les Percussion de Strasbourg, we conducted research on "Forest in the Tree", which is scheduled to premiere in May 2020. Visit reservation is possible.

Naoki Sakata is the part of the jury of the 88th music competition of Japan 2019.
